Our Consultants

The foundation of Szostek & Partners is our teamwork. Our consultants always work in a team. There are at least two consultants assigned to each project, one of whom is responsible for daily tasks and acts as the team leader of the project in contacts with the Client. Within the team there is also an analytical professional who, if necessary, also takes part in meetings with the client. In addition, each consultant can call upon the knowledge and expertise of the other professionals.

Urszula Szostek

CEO

Urszula Szostek is a professional consultant with over thirty years of experience in the field. In 1990 she founded the firm Szostek & Partners. In 2000 she joined a team of consultants from Spencer Stuart. Five years later she went back to her own company. She specializes in placing higher management personnel. She also leads projects in various areas of the market such as the consumer goods and services sector, marketing, financial institutions as well as other fields such as telecommunications, information systems and the media.

Prior to this, Urszula was working in an international executive search company and was a member of its Board of Directors. She founded and ran her own Polish office for nine years which was the first in this part of Europe to become part of an international group.

Before getting involved with human resource consulting, Urszula worked for the Ministry of Finance and the International Investment Agency. Her responsibilities included meetings with various financial institutions such as the World Bank, the Phare Fund, the European Bank for Development and Restructuring as well as analysing investment plans of foreign firms entering the Polish market. She speaks English and Russian and is a graduate in Foreign Trade from Warsaw's Main Business School (SGH) and has a Master's Degree in Economics.

Marek Średniawa

Consultant

A consultant with Szostek & Partners since 2001. Specialises in the field of telecommunications, information systems and the media. He has many years of experience as a lecturer at Warsaw Polytechnic (PW) where his areas of expertise included telecommunication and teleinformation. For nine years he managed a postgraduate research programme in Telecommunication, Information and Management CITCOM PW. In addition to his academic activities, he has managed many projects for the main IT companies and telecommunication operators in Poland as well as participating in various European research projects and advising many renowned telecommunication and consulting firms. Marek is a well-respected specialist and expert in the area of intelligence and new generation networking. He is a graduate in Telecommunication from Warsaw Polytechnic with a Ph.D. in Technical Studies. He speaks English.
